The charming LadyTink has sprinkled a little fairy dust my way and granted me her Tink Approved award. Many many thanks! For anyone who doesn't read her blogs, check them out for some wonderful book and film reviews!
Speaking of films, I just finished watching Deep Impact again, after many many years, and managed to find myself blubbing at exactly the same spot that moved me to tears the first time I watched it. (I won't spoil it for anyone, but suffice to say it involves sacrifice and saving the ones you love). Curious...apparently though I may have aged (and one hopes, matured) over the years, the same things have an emotional impact on me! And I don't usually get that teary at films, so that's saying something.
I also watched Inkheart with Rhinoa last week. I really enjoyed it, though it differed from the book a fair bit. Brendan Fraser is always fun on camera and Paul Bettany was quite frankly hot!

Congrats on the award, Mariel! Jen's blog is one of the coolest, isn't it? :)
I haven't read or watch Inkheart yet, but I've heard somewhere that the movie is a bit disappointing. Well, of course we booklovers are aware that movies can't always compare to books! ;P
congrats on the award, it's well deserved :O)
glad you enjoyed the movie Inkheart, I want to see it too. I liked the book.

Fab award! I had no idea that Paul Bettany was in Inkheart! Definately more reason to watch it!
Melody - I really like Jen's blog and I only discovered her a couple of months ago! I used to have a real problem enjoying film adaptations, but now I'm trying to see them as exactly that...an adaptation, the director's interpretations of the story, not a faithful rendition. I think its working for me!
Naida - Thanks, I think you'll really like the film.
Michelle - Oh yes, and its so worth watching it for him alone. Such a good actor, and fire twirling with no shirt on...nuff said ;)
Yippee! Congratulations! You so deserve it too!
Glad you like it! I haven't gotten around to seeing Inkheart yet :(
Thanks J Kaye!
And thanks again LadyTink, really appreciate it!
