Too busy to blog!

Craziness. I haven’t been this busy in years! There’s me complaining about not having a life when I’m working offshore, and now I finally have an onshore job there’s not enough time to do everything! So I really shouldn’t complain. but unfortunately it’s really cutting into my reading habits, and I had to abandon blogging for a little while, just to save the time to read a bit. Things are calming down a bit now, well rather its more organised chaos so I should be able to keep an eye on my blog more regularly. Phew. This having a life malarkey is really exhausting! So apologies for not having the time to comment on everyone's blogs recently, I am slowly making my way through all your posts!

On the up side, I have just booked my flights to the States for May. I’ll be flying to Minnesota and spending a week there for a good friend’s wedding, then driving (hopefully, if I can afford a rental car) west through several states including Montana, where I hope to do some horse-riding, and Wyoming (Yellowstone!) and then ending up in Washington, where I can explore the forests of the Olympic Peninsular, the bookshops and café’s of Seattle, and have time for a quick visit to Vancouver Island to see some orcas. Ambitious for three weeks? Possibly, but I can’t wait! I have the travel bug, and as I was planning on going to the wedding, it seemed silly to spend all that money and travel so far without making the most of it. I will however, be taking a week off my book buying ban while in Seattle, so I can grab those elusive US publications not available over here! So I’m planning some stops along the way and am very open to recommendations if fellow bloggers know the area!

I've been slacking on my blogging lately, too. Once I'm done working and maintaining an actual social life, I don't feel like I've got any time to spare to write a blog post. I don't know how other people do it!

I envy you your drive through the west. It should be beautiful in May. Jeez, I drove through parts of Wyoming and Montana in January a couple years ago (which is, of course, total madness), and it was even beautiful in the dead of winter, so I can imagine how nice it will be in May! Hope you have a great time! =D

Yeah, you have to love it! One minute you have too much time on your hands and you are bored, but the minute you say something, you own up with too much to do and not enough time for everything! I swear it is impossible to find a happy medium at times.

It's time for a break, Mariel! You deserve it, after all the hard work you've been! :)

I hope you've a great time in the US!

I've been a blog slacker lately. It is hard not to sometimes when life gets busy.

What part of Minnesota??? I live in the Twin Cities. Everyone who comes here from out of town wants to see the Mall of America. It is pretty full of awesomeness, but there are also a zillion other cool places. Grand Avenue or Stillwater are fun places to go shopping. And there are lots of museums too. I hope you have fun!

Megan - I find it hard writing a post a week, let alone several posts a day that some bloggers manage. But then maybe I'm bad a time management! I'm so excited about Montana in spring, I hear it is so beautiful! Thanks.

Kailana - You are so right. This whole 5 day working week is really inconvenient!

Melody - Thanks! I've got my lonely planet, so let the trip planning begin!

Kim - It's ok when there a few of us being slackers! I'm heading to Minneapolis and Chaska(?), but I'll be there a few days so hopefully will get up to lake superior, as well as seeing the Mall of America! I'll admit that Minnesota is not somewhere I would have thought of visiting, but my friend is really selling it to me!

Oh that will be nice time to visit the North Shore (Lake Superior). There are some really beautiful state parks in the area, including Jay Cooke and Gooseberry Falls. I recommend a stop in Duluth, which has some very nice views of the lake and lots of fun shopping. Have a fun trip!

Naida - Oh to be a vampire like the Cullens and not have to sleep!

Kim - I'm taking notes, thanks!
