Awards and absences

Many thanks to the lovely Tina of The Clean White Page, who has kindly gifted me with this Santa Clause Award (yes, that looks suspiciously similar to the lemonade award, with a festive addition!). The rules are simple, to pass the award on to five more people. So my five are:

Naida of the Bookworm - I may not always comment, but I always love reading your blog.
Nymeth of Things Mean A Lot - for putting up with my uber slow reading for a joint review!
Darla of Books & other thoughts - for constantly adding to my TBR list!
Tanabata of In Spring it is the Dawn - for constantly inspiring me to learn Japanese!
Michelle of Fluttering Butterflies - whose blog is always a pleasure to read.

I can't remember every having been this constantly busy (though I am sure I say that every time), but I will endeavour to post some reviews over the festive period, I still have a lot to catch up on! But many thanks to all the new visitors to my blog and for your lovely comments, you are all most welcome!

Thank you! What a cheery award with lots of holiday spirit. I hope those are books in Santa's sack. You have added tons of my books to my list, too! Thanks for that as well as the award. :-)

Ceillie - Thank you. I am indeed interested in Japanese history, culture and philosophy, but am woefully behind in my language skills!

Lisa Marie - Many thanks!

MissC - Excellent!

Darla - You are most welcome...and I hope so too!

Oh thank you for passing this award onto me. I love reading your blog. There are so many blogs that I read and think 'hmm, that's interesting' but I don't stop and take the time to comment, but everytime I get to your blog something about it makes me comment every single time. So thank you for that!

Clover - You are most welcome! And thanks for your kind words. Its the best thing about blogging, finding people with such similar tastes who inspire me to read new books, so keep the reviews coming!

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to stop by and thank you for passing on the award to me. I'm so behind lately, it's painful! But truly, it's being appreciated by people like you that keep me blogging so thank you! :)
And when can I expect to see you in Japan? :P

I couldn't agree more! Not sure when Japan is happening yet :( My main holiday this year has been changed to Italy as my sister is getting married. But soon...very soon!
