USA adventures...part one

Bit late in my holiday posts but things continue to be manic in old Norfolk!

My trip to the States was primarily to spend a week in Minnesota catching up with old friends from Hawaii, and celebrating my dear friend Susie's wedding. But after going all that way, I decided to make the most of the trip and travel across country, visiting some of the sites I have longed to see. I hired a car and drived from Minneapolis to Seattle, making a few stops along the way...

Badlands, South Dakota

Mount Rushmore, South Dakota

Crazy Horse Mountain, Sout Dakota

Crazy Horse Mountain...a work in progress..

Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Early spring in Yellowstone

Old Faithful

Awesome photos. I would love to do a road trip across the States. If only Alex would learn to drive so we could split it between us.

Thanks for posting all these marvelous vacation photos - it looks like you had a wonderful time! I'm glad you're back, though. :-)

Ps. I didn't know you used to live in Hawaii - so did I! I really, really miss it. Sigh.

Christina - Thanks! Was a snazzy new camera.

Darla - You are welcome. I was so excited about the trip and the pictures, I just had to share them. I used to work in a research facility on Ala Moana! I absolutely fell in love with the islands, but haven't been back for nearly 3 years now. Sigh indeed.

It's been 8 years for us, but I still miss it. Maybe we'll go back some day.
