I love that my birthday is in autumn, my favourite season. Tis a season for long misty walks, harvesting veggies from the garden, foraging for fruits, roots and mushrooms, and baking delicious cakes. Tis also a season for music and celebrating the land, both of which were in abundance at this year's
Rivenstone festival, held on the beautiful Dartmoor landscape.

Great pictures and yummy looking food! :)
I love that tree in Foxley Woods. So cool. The bread looks yummy. :-)
What a gorgeous post :) Everything about it!
Kailana - Thanks, but I still can never seem to do the beauty of Dartmoor justice. I thoroughly recommend apple and blackberry cake ;)
Junebug - We have two ancient forests in this part of Norfolk, both with gorgeous old gnarly trees!
Chris - Thank you :)
Lots of pretty pictures there. What is the loom with the land thingy - is it an art exhibit? And yum the cake looks delicious - autumn is cake weather.
I used to not like autumn at all (back to school, end of summer, rain...) but now that I live in Ireland and I'm out of school (well, it's taken years to adjust to the idea:P) I love it. The colours, the misty landscape, halloween...it's really a great season.
And I really should come around going to this festival, it sounds a-ma-zing. I wonder if there's anything like this here.
Jodie - The loom was about literally weaving with the land. The ocean loom has bits of seaweed etc. It was really beautiful, with all the women getting involved. It was really lovely.
Valentina - I can see the reasons to dislike autumn, especially for schoolkids! But now, the colours, the temperature, the atmosphere...I love it!
