Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - J.K.Rowling

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the last in JK Rowling's fabulous Harry Potter series. Whether or not you enjoy the series, I defy anyone to not fall for Stephen Fry's narration!

Portraying each of the characters in these unabridged audiobooks, Fry embues his own vitality, his own personality, while maintaining the characters that the world has come to know and love. My particular favourite is Fry's take on Hermione Granger, and his whimsical rendition of the strange but likeable Luna.

Still convinced that this was the (almost) perfect ending to a truly excellent series (I'm still somewhat heartbroken over one character in particular), this audiobook has given me a new appreciation to Rowling's storytelling, and enhanced my admiration of the indomitable Stephen Fry. Not to mention making the constant DIY in my new house almost bearable!

Thank you Jo Rowling and thank you Stephen Fry!

Oh it is certainly time I read this again. Might go for the Stephen Fry version too as it is the only one I haven't listened to!

I know this is a very late comment (by almost two years late!) In the states, the Harry Potter audio books are read by Jim Dale, quite a masterful voice changer. J.K. Rowling is one amazing author and I have read the Harry Potter books several times through and I still find things I have overlooked, with myriads of clues interspersed throughout the books from the first book onward. On my own blog: http://amagicalwhimsy.blogspot.com/ I did a review and comparison of 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy and the 'Harry Potter' series. (In an older post of mine). There are so many comparisons once you begin searching for them.
And please do a review of the childrens' book: 'The Dragon of Cripple Creek' written by Troy Howell. It is a delight! Probably one of the only 'dragon' books (fiction) where a dragon turns up in the United States of America.
On my blog, you can link to my brother's blog with the dragon on the sidebar. Oh, Troy Howell is my lovely brother, and his book can be found on Amazon and Kindle. Troy is also a book illustrator who illustrated the American jacket covers for all of the hard bound America editions of the 'Redwall' series by Brian Jacques.
Thank you!
And I love your blog! And all things Potter!
Cheers! and Smiles ;)
