RIP IV Challenge completed

Although a little behind on my reviews, I did indeed complete the Readers. Imbibing. Peril. IV Challenge, and thoroughly enjoyed it as always! I undertook Peril the Second, to read at least two books from my pool. I managed three, and an extra two titles not in my pool. I shall hopefully review them soon. Another great year for this challenge, rapidly becoming one of my favourites. Thanks must go to Carl for hosting the challenge, introducing us to new artists and setting some great giveaways.

Books read:
The Thirteenth Tale - Diane Setterfield
Dead Until Dark - Charlaine Harris
The Road - Cormac McCarthy
Frankenstein - Mary Shelley
Her Fearful Symmetry - Audrey Niffenegger

Congrats. I am new to your blog and very interested to know what you thought of The Road. I read it about a year ago and, while I'm glad it has a home on my bookshelf, I doubt I'll ever open it again. I'm a bit of a bleeding heart...

Where's thy great yearning for Heaven in this Finite Existence, the Great Beyond in this lifelong demise that's over in an instant, girl? We cannot become sooo enraptured by the world we lose sight of our TRUE home. God bless you profusely.
